About
Atesh'lemek is a kobold with distant red dragon ancestry. His ancestry manifests most obviously during his barbarian rages.
Personality
Atesh'lemek is torn between the lawful nature of his kobold ancestry and society and chaotic impulses of his draconic heritage. He's grown more uncomfortable with the constraints of lawful societies, but he also fears losing himself completely in the wildness of his rage. He secretly enjoys the the thrill of battle and the power his red dragon ancestry affords him during his rages. Outside of battle he is more reserved, though he can be impatient. He is very distrustful of other races, so it takes quite a while for non-draconic kin to earn his trust, if ever. Though he still harbors a flame of hatred of gnomes, he erupts in a conflagration of hatred in proximity to the goblinoid invaders who decimated his home.
Backstory
Atesh'lemek was originally known as ???. He was satisfied in his role as a miner. When goblinoids invaded his lair a rage surged within him, and his red dragon ancestry manifested itself. He ignored his unit's commander and paved his own way through a battle with goblins. Though he had helped in driving the invaders away, his defiance had not gone unnoticed within his clan. He no longer felt that he fit in and feared that during one of his rages he might injure or even kill one of his own. He chose to leave, with permission from his clan's council, in part to get vengeance upon the goblinoids who had assaulted his home, in part to protect his clan, and in part to free himself from what increasingly felt like the restrictive structure of his clan's society.
